Brenda Delahorne

I utilize my background in music to creatively support clients of diverse backgrounds. I work with a social justice and trauma-informed lens and seek to provide a safe and empowering space for clients throughout their healing journey. This includes providing an affirming space for LGBTQAI+ folks. 

 

I enjoy working relationally to create a warm environment for clients to explore their inner experiences. Likewise, I enjoy bringing my authentic self into the room; utilizing both affective disclosure and humor to strengthen the therapeutic relationship. ​

As a trauma-informed practitioner, I integrate IFS, Gestalt, ISTDP, Attachment, Polyvagal, Somatics, and Family Systems, and work holistically to individualize interventions to meet the client in the moment. As an avid learner, I am continually interested in incorporating new theoretical orientations into my practice.

 

Additionally, I am passionate about collaborating with clients to address issues such as life transitions, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief & loss, sociopolitical / eco stress, and relationship challenges.

Outside of the therapy room, you will find me reading, traveling, bakery hopping, writing songs, going to comedy shows, or taking my senior pup to the dog park.
